Fall at Remich Park – Littleton NH

Remich Park is one of my favorite places in Littleton. I fell in love with this park on one of our first visits to Littleton. It is tucked away on a hill, just a few blocks above Main Street. The park has relaxing green space, benches and picnic tables, playing fields and tennis courts, a gazebo, and a playground. It is a community gathering place where kids of all ages can run and play and the town comes together for concerts, athletic events, and community events. The park has something to offer in every season, but my favorite season has always been Fall – both at the park and in…

Memorial Day Weekend – Sunday Snapshots

Spring has sprung and there is so much going on in our little mountain town. It is Memorial Day weekend and our town is packed with people from all over (but having grown up on Cape Cod, the activity here is nothing like the full-scale tourist invasion that Cape Cod will experience this weekend). We have a busy weekend planned, but the most important part of that is just family time. In Friday, Ryan sang at his school’s Memorial Day celebration and then we spent the evening hanging out with good friends. Yesterday, Ryan and I went to our local small town movie theater (Jax Jr) to see the new…

Winter Fun at Remich Park – Littleton NH

Living in Northern New Hampshire, winter lasts quite a while and it is important to keep kids (and adults) engaged in outdoor winter activities. Littleton does an amazing job providing outlets for those winter activities with skiing, snowshoeing, fatbiking, sledding and ice skating all possible right in the walkable center of town. Today we went to Remich Park with the kids to enjoy the perfect town sledding hill and the ice skating rink. The sledding hill provides the perfect slope for a good long sled. There are even free tubes available for anyone to use down the hill. While we were at the park, there were quite a few other…

Pine Hill Trail – Tuesday Tour Guide

The Pine Hill Trail is one of my favorite places in Littleton.  Located only a few blocks above Main Street, the trail allows residents (and visitors) to have the best of both worlds.  Here it is possible to live in the heart of a walkable and vibrant town, but also walk down the street and spend the day hiking and exploring the woods.  Pine Hill Trail is not the most impressive trail in the area.  We are after all, in the White Mountains with hundreds if not thousands of amazing trails right at our doorstep.  Yet, it is still a really great trail, and it is so nice to not…

Fourth of July Festivities – Littleton, NH

Last week was a busy week for us between fireworks, friendly potlucks and a town-wide block party.  It was a great first Fourth of July experience in our new hometown of Littleton.  The small town we were renting in previously was a very isolating experience for us, our experience thus far in Littleton has been the complete opposite of that and I have loved exploring and getting to know the town and area better. On the 3rd we had a potluck with new friends and then rushed home in order to see the Littleton Fireworks show.  We were having such a great time with friends, that we ran later than…
